This workshop and the book are suitable for absolutely everybody who wants to take their sketching and painting skills further and become an accomplished artist.

Peter uses pencil and wash, an efficient medium to collect pictorial information for your paintings. It is a compact, quick and non-messy way of pinning down the essence of a subject.

You will look at the methods and thought processes behind turning this lovely Tuscan hill town into a pencil and wash study. You will also learn how to simplify a subject by recognising the big shapes and including only necessary detail, how tone, not colour is the big player on the scene and how to use the transparent nature of watercolour to add colour notes and fix the pencil sketch.
