ABOUT THIS CLASS

Time to let go a paint fast! You will learn to create strong atmosphere with watercolour, including how to choose your colours, what to leave out and when to stop.

Paintings are more than images, they are like a screen shot of an expression, a feeling, a moment in time. But how can a person start to move away from simply copying photos and begin to create their own paintings - with their own ideas and style?

In this short but fast demonstration, this is what Janine will teach. She will use a soft, atmospheric image of a marine as well as a photo from Piazza San Marco, Venice. Surely we can't paint both in less than 60 minutes? Just you wait and see!

There is no need to have perfect drawing or watercolour skills. Simply watch or paint along, and she will walk you through her process of simplifying a subject and making it more than just a simple image.
