SUMMARY
Join Alex as she walks you through the steps to create three wintery scenes. You will be shown how to depict snow on buildings using masking tape to help along the way. You will explore the use of acrylic ink for strong colour and flow, watercolour blooms, salt patterns and how to overcome any mistakes that are made in your paintings.

MATERIALS
• PAPER: Three (3x) Arches 140 lb watercolour paper, rough
• PAINTS: (Windsor & Newton, Daniel Smith) to include ultramarine blue, burnt sienna, indigo blue, neutral tint, quinacridone gold, orange (Aussie red gold, Halloween orange), cadmium red, sepia brown. Acrylic ink: sepia, Prussian blue. White gouache
• BRUSHES: Black velvet mop, Escoda round #8, flat angled brush, black velvet rounds #8 and #10, fine tip (rigger or liner)
• OTHER: Charcoal pencil, graphite pencil & eraser, water & container, scissor, slanted board to put paper on for painting, paper towels & Q-tips, pen to dip in inks, masking tape (1 in wide), toothbrush, Salt (rock crystals)
