In this watercolour workshop, Lilian will expand on her previous shorter class about "Jangadas", as well as the housing and topography in the state. As the paint comes together, we want you to feel transported to the state of Ceará. You will learn a number of techniques that Lilian uses to capture the essence of South America.

Recommended materials

• PAPER: Watercolour Paper / cold pressed / 300gsm / any size similar to 38x56 cm . I will use Hahnemuhle. The Collection cold pressed.

• PAINTS: Watercolour paints: French Ultramarine Blue, Raw Sienna, Burnt Sienna, Sepia, Naples Yellow, Cadmium Orange, Cadmium Yellow, Lavender, Cerulean Blue, Chromium oxide (green). I will use my WhiteNights palette.


• BRUSHES: flat brushes (sizes 2”, 1”, ¾”and ½”), round brushes ( sizes 12, 8 and 2) and a fan brush ( size 2)

• OTHER: board for watercolour paper, masking tape, two buckets for water, tissue, hair dryer (if necessary)
